Organization settings and notifications

Settings affect how your organization works. Some options require the owner, an eligible plan or a feature that is available on your service. A visible but disabled option is not a completed configuration.

Who this is for

Owners configure the organization; each user manages the preferences offered to their account.

Before you begin

Identify whether you are editing personal preferences, one station or the whole organization.

1Change a setting safely

  1. Open Settings from the dashboard. Read the section title and its scope before editing.
  2. Review current contact details and the operational preferences actually offered on the page. Keep a copy of a value if you may need to restore it.
  3. Change one related group of fields, select Save and wait for confirmation. Navigate back to verify the saved values.
  4. Inform affected colleagues through your normal communication channel. A saved setting does not necessarily send them a message.
What you should see

The saved configuration is visible in its correct scope.

2Follow notifications and activity

  1. Open Notifications or the inbox and select an item to inspect its source record. Read the station, date and requested action.
  2. Complete the action on the source screen with the appropriate permission. Marking a notification read does not approve or pay the record.
  3. Use notification preferences where available to adjust the offered channels. Verify your email address and device permissions for the channels you use.
  4. Owners and authorized managers can consult Activity to understand who changed a record. Use the source operation and timestamp when asking for help.
What you should see

Alerts lead to verified actions and activity provides context.

A practical example

Approval delegation, pricing groups, custom report templates and dashboard widgets currently show unavailable controls on the managed service. Do not plan work around them or upgrade solely to activate them; use the working direct approval, fuel-price and standard-report screens.

If something goes wrong

I changed a preference but nothing arrived

Check the selected channel and spam/device permissions. A preference does not create an alert retroactively.

A setting is disabled

Read its availability message. Ask support about availability rather than repeatedly submitting or assuming a paid plan enables it.
