Set and review fuel prices

Fuel prices are selling prices per litre, distinct from supplier purchase costs. Use the currency/unit shown on the screen. A country or language selection must not be treated as an automatic currency conversion.

Who this is for

Users with permission to update prices.

Before you begin

Obtain the authorized price and coordinate its effective timing with the station team.

1Update a price

  1. Open Fuel prices or the station’s price action. Select the station and fuel grade.
  2. Read the current price, enter the new selling price per litre and check the displayed monetary unit.
  3. Review the change and confirm once. Reopen the price list and check the saved history/effective information.
  4. Inform the operational team according to your internal procedure. Check the price attached to ongoing and subsequent shifts rather than assuming old sales were repriced.
What you should see

The price change has a visible record and the team knows when it applies.

2Check a revenue difference

  1. Open the affected shift and compare its recorded volume and price with the period you are reviewing.
  2. Distinguish gross fuel sales from cash received, credit repayments and stock purchase costs.
  3. If the price was entered wrongly, record the issue and use the authorized correction process. Avoid changing quantities to compensate for a price error.
What you should see

You identify whether the difference is a price, volume or payment issue.

A practical example

500 L at 800 FCFA/L gives 400,000 FCFA of sales value. A 50,000 FCFA credit sale can make immediate cash lower without changing fuel volume.

If something goes wrong

I need a different currency

Follow the actual unit shown. Several operational screens currently use FCFA. Do not enter NGN or another currency as if automatic conversion existed; confirm supported configuration with FuelOps.
